When snow is on the ground a pic from Spring

100_1711This pic is for all of us whose garden is frozen over or covered with snow today. It is green and growing. Let’s plan today to have the best garden we have ever had this year and use it more.

You’ll need to keep this picture to compare it to the way you have it laid out and improved, now once things start growing again. And just FYI…. this year my tomatoes are going in 5-gal buckets….

Good point John. I have begun to take a lot more pics so I can compare and plan better. Since I took that pic the garden has been put into mostly raised beds and now some of them are covered with a hoop house.

50 degrees out here today, but the ground is frozen into about 6 inches. Was going to put in some bulbs, but… Even a bag of starting soil was frozen, but managed to chisel, pry, pound, and loosen enough to plant about a dozen bulbs in containers, to re-plant later in the Spring.
